We purchased an additional 100,000 extended warranty that we were told covered bumper to bumper just like the warranty on the car. Toyota only warranties paint jobs for 3 years or 36,000 miles.
We assumed that bumper to bumper just like the car warranty would include covering inferior paint, but alas, the $2,400 we paid extra does not cover.
We are going to take it to a reputable body shop here in Dallas and get an estimate and find out the cause of the peeling paint. If the dealership or Toyota doesn't take care of it, I'm going to make the car even uglier by putting some signs on it telling people to beware of the Toyota brand and especially of the Rockwall Toyota extended warranty plan.
