The 4 Cylinder AWD version is heavy and slow. The 6 cylinder gets slightly worse gas mileage and has much more power and doesn't sound like marbles going through a garbage disposal. The transmission in this car, upon being smashed in an emergency, takes a solid 2 seconds to downshift. Even a somewhat moderate amount of gas given to it on the freeway takes a long time to see output. This does not happen when, say, accelerating quickly from a stop light as the car isn't hard to launch, but from a steady moving speed it doesn't want to go.
Just spend a bit more and get the V6. Our 4 cyl gets 17 city, 22 Hwy so you're not going to do much better on the V6.
