Truck will go into start/stop mode after shifting into park most of the time after running it down the road enough to warm up engine. Unbuckling seatbelt before shifting into park stops it from happening. Or pressing start stop button before shifting into park. Toyota FT’s say it’s working as designed. Vehicle will turn engine off & start right back on when it happens. Seems to me that it is placing an unneeded toll on my starter. Seems to me Toyota engineers should be able to come up with a flash that tells the computer to NOT let vehicle go into start/stop mode after it is shifted into the park position. When using the Start/Stop mode as it is intended, operator has to step on brake pedal harder to get vehicle to go into Start/Stop mode. I always make sure I’m NOT pressing brake too hard before shifting into park.
