Purchased this truck November 16th, on the test drive I didn’t feel a problem, because it was a bumpy road, and short drive. After purchasing this truck and started the drive home, I felt a vibration in the steering, we were in such a hurry to get home, because I had to go 200 miles from home to even find the truck , I figured we would figure out what the problem might be when we get back to our local dealer. We took it to our local dealer 3 days later, they tell me it was in the all-train tires, and for me to drive it to 1000 miles, thought about it for about 2 hours and decided to call the tire manufacture and see if I can have the tires replaced if it was the problem, the first thing they said I needed to do was to have the tires balanced, so took it to a local tire place and have them do that. Still vibration, So decided to all the local dealer back and ask them if they could help me out and swap the tires and wheels for some they may have there, at that time, they said sure, and set me up an appointment, the very next day they call back and say the OWNER of the dealership said he don’t want to deal with us, that they didn’t think there would be anything they could do it satisfy me and they didn’t need a bad survey. I was pretty pissed about that, because how a dealer can just decided they didn’t want to help with a brand new truck??? Well after about 3 days my wife called the owner and talked to him, he knew about the situation and himself decided that he didn’t need a bad survey and also stated that we don’t do business with him and he didn’t want to work with us, Which is NOT true, i had purchased a truck from him in the past and buy parts from that dealership, So oh well, off to try to find another dealer, but first I would contact a friend who had a tundra and used his wheels and tires on my truck and found that the vibration was still there, so we finally found a dealer 50 miles away and took the truck to them, they also said it was the tires and balanced and rotated, still the vibration was there, and they still say it was the tires, so on the way home I went buy a tire place and purchased $1000 worth of tires and had them put on. Yep you guess it, the vibration was STILL there, so now it was time to contact Southeast Toyota themselves and complain about the problem. They set me up with a field TEC straight from Southeast Toyota corp. He checked the truck out, ran several test, let us test drive another 2016 4x4 tundra, only to find out, that one also had a vibration, so end result is, it’s a flaw in the build of the truck, they are NOT sure what is causing the vibration or what will fix it, so now we wait till they go back and find out how /if they can fix the vibration.

Update from Jan 5, 2016: They are saying that the , 4th order engine vibration resonating into the steering wheel and at times from the floor board are operational characteristic of the vehicle with no defect in material or workmanship present.

Update from May 5, 2018: For those of you who are still having this problem, thats exactly what the field tech told me , that is an operation characteristic of the vehicle .
