When towing (either in tow/haul mode or NOT ) this transmission will not up shift when letting up on the throttle completely. By the time it up shifts it jumps 2 gears not one and you have lost ALL momentum. Even in "manual or "S" mode you cannot control the proper up shift when towing . It stays down too low for too long and then jumps too high. This is awful on the driver, drive train and engine to say nothing about the TERRIBLE fuel economy. Need to do a reflash so as to allow for faster up shifts and one gear increments NOT 2. A very frustrating experience while towing or even unloaded hill driving. Toyota can do better than this .
