This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I recently purchased a 2014 Toyota Tundra, and the rear view mirror is not large enough to provide a view of the entire rear window, causing reduced visibility and therefore increasing the likelihood of accidents. I believe this is a serious safety hazard. I contacted Toyota and their action is put my remarks on file. I believe this is a design flaw and the vehicles should be recalled and fitted with a mirror that is large enough to provide a view of the entire rear window. The mirror appears to be the same size as a standard car mirror. Are there no standards that regulate the size of mirrors in relation to the width of the rear window?
