The horn no longer works on the vehicle. I can no longer alert drivers who do not see me while driving or in parking lots. My auto shop confirmed the horn did not work and estimated the repair. There were no warnings.

My horn stopped working. I have two new drivers and this is a huge safety concern of mine. The dealer is telling me that this is a $800 job. Online I'm finding that this is a very common issue that is occurring... effecting the safety or our vehicle.

The horn can not be operated by the steering wheel. The horn still works when the panic alarm is pressed. According to several forums that I have visited, it-??s a common issue with the steering column rubbing the insulation off of the wire. I believe that if this is that common of an issue, it should be reported, and hope that it will be addressed by a recall.

When in motion the vehicle enters limp mode and loses power. Acceleration by pedal does not function, the engine only revs and does not speed up. The vehicle slows down to anywhere from 25 to 5 miles per hour on its own without stepping on the brake and the transmission doesn't shift. This happens anywhere, highway, street, driving straight, turning, etc. No warning. I almost got rear ended because this problem equates to someone driving on the highway and slamming on their brakes with no brake lights!! I could have lost my life today! Toyota is aware and has been aware since 2007 of the problem and is playing with peoples lives!!

I traded my 2012 Toyota Tundra for $17,000. Blue book 'trade-in' value was approximately $20,000 - $21,000 at the time. My truck had low mileage and was in excellent condition, except for the undercarriage rust. I lost $3,000 - $4,000 in the trade-in.

A light came on and it started losing power. Took it to the shop and was told it was bad gas. I put the cleaner in it and it didn't fix it. I had some buddies tell me to unplug my battery because it sounded like a safety feature. So I did. The light went off and the truck acted right for a few miles then started doing the same thing. Vehicle was in motion on the highway. My buddies referred to it as a "limp mode" or something like that. I was afraid to have it worked on because I was told if there was a recall the manufacturer wouldn't be liable.

When cranking the vehicle all of a sudden as of 5 days ago the check engine light appears along with 'track off' indicator. This throws the truck in 'limp' mode decreasing the power of the vehicle by 50%. this happened the first morning and I was entering a on ramp to get on the high from my neighbor and almost got plowed over due to not being able to properly accelerate to highway speeds while entering the ramp. I had a technician check the issue and was told it has to due with the 'secondary air injection valve' failing. After about four days of research I found this is a common problem it not just my vehicle but multiple years and motor sizes. Toyota apparently covered certain year models/vine but when calling regarding mine they said my vehicle wasn't covered evening though there are thousand of consumers having the exact same issue. This issue is also an expensive repairs cost upwards to $3,500-$400 to fix. Toyota is aware of the problem and apparently doesn't care that it also cause safety issues with the vehicle not having proper power to operate. This is a manufacturing defect plan and simple.

Secondary air injection pump and secondary air injection switching value causing check engine and trac control lights to come on. I was told by the dealer that the same piece and design was recalled on the 2011 but not the 2012 Tundra. It comes on and off but when it is on it feels like that there is a limp mode making it difficult to get up to speed on the highway. The steering feels different which I think is the traction control.

I had a sudden jump in my rpms and accelerator malfunction I had to carefully guide the truck to the side of the road. After it died I could not start it. The engine light flashing, the 4lo flashing and traction's all flashing. I still had electrical but no power. I was being followed by another vehicle who almost hit me and my daughter. These trucks are supposed to be know for their life span and safety. This is not what I call safe by any means.

Please refer to tsb 0160-11. Toyota recognized that inferior quality parts were used as part of their emissions system and wrote this tsb as a remedy. The problem I have is that they continued to use the faulty parts beyond the 2011 model year cut-off in this tsb. My truck is throwing the same engine and emissions codes associated with this tsb. It also forces the engine into a "low power mode" greatly reducing the ability to accelerate. Lastly, it turns off traction control which affects the stability of the truck. I have filed a ticket with Toyota and from what I have read on the internet, I don't expect much help. The parts to repair this run over $1,000 alone. There are many owners having the same issue with the Tundra, sequoia and some other models (on the 4.6L, 4.7L and 5.7L engines). The engine codes usually appear on startup (when the emissions device are supposed to kick in), but the low power mode kicks in while moving.

I was driving my 212 Tundra crewmax and when I reached a traffic light--red, I pressed the brakes and the truck started to pull up and the RPM's went high. Even when I pressed the brakes real hard it was still moving forward. I prompted to put the transmission in park and turned the engine off. Restarted it and shifted into drive, the truck pulled up real fast because the RPM's were high, but in about two or three seconds went to normal. Scared and very careful I drove it home, didn't do it anymore but I contacted my dealer's customers relations manager and he got tow it away from my home for its checkup. According to them, came up with nothing wrong with it and it is safe to drive. They said that they've hooked up a computer to it and the truck's computer did not register anything wrong or malfunction whatsoever. But it did happened. It wasn't my imagination and my concern is that it may happens again and I might not be able to control it or turn it off as I did this time. I might not be that lucky again and hurt myself or someone else. Might not be at a traffic light in red. And might even cause someone's death, or mine.
