I have had this problem ever since I bought the truck ! I got from a used vehicle dealer and did great for 1st week, then the nightmare started by seeing this check engine light come on and after several trips to Toyota service department it came back on, they keep telling me it's fixed this time , but after driving a couple thousand miles it shows its ugly head again it's been 4 weeks . The dealership got it covered because my truck was built 2010 the year they had recalls for this problem that was 8 months ago the last time they worked on it I'm tired of the bullshit!!

Engine light, hazard roadway light, and check attention required lights came on. Truck drove normally. I had the brakes fixed and battery replaced and the maintenance required light went off. Made an appointment at the Toyota place to bring it in. The lights went out for about week and then the hazard/wet roads light and engine light came back on. I was driving on interstate and at about 60 miles an hour the engine began speeding up but I was going nowhere. The tac showed that the engine was revving but the truck could get no speed. I slowed down and the engines suddenly seemed like it 'caught' and the truck began running correctly. Will bring it in tomorrow. It has only done this once so far but the lights are still on.
