The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that there was an abnormal noise heard in the rear of the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the rear leaf spring was fractured and contained rust. The vehicle was not included in the manufacturer recall campaigns: (interim E12) and E02 concerning the rear leaf spring, although the failure was similar. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dealer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
