My check engine light came on so had the code read. It was an emissions problem so I left on my 2 hour trip and returned without a problem. I took it to the Dealer the next day after researching it on the internet. I had not idea that an emissions problem could cost over $1000. luckily my truck was still under warranty.

Tundra Limited 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 71,000 miles

Check engine came on, on the way home from school took it to the dealer after 2 hrs of troubleshoot they said the code was the P2441 secondary air injection valve. They quoted me $900 to get this valve fix. Called Toyota customer service they said that they are aware of this problem, but because my warranty is expire there is nothing they can do. All I have to say this f*cken sucks.

Tundra TRD SR5 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 43,000 miles

I did a search on this problem and found that there were many other unsatisfied Tundra owners out there. I can't believe a company like Toyota would sell such an inferior product. I have had 3 toyotas in the past and my family has always been loyal Toyota owners. If Toyota does not fix this problem I will never again purchase another Toyota and I will also advise my friends and family to do the same.

Tundra SR5 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 41,208 miles

Bought the Truck last year with 20,000 miles, added another 21,000 miles in 8 months now the Secondary Air pump has crapped out. Dealer said sorry, then waved a $1000 quote to repair under my nose....... Extended Warrenty from the selling Dealer (Certifired Used Toyota) only covers lubricated parts and not the air pump. A total joke, if your worried about potential repair costs dont consider a Tundra.
