I had the truck in for rusty frame replacement, done by Toyota dealer. I got the truck back with many issues, one of them being noisy clutch throw out bearing. Dealer's position is , as usual, " they didn't do anything to the clutch". I would had accepted the dealer's answer. But, while I was in the truck working with the dealer's tech investigating for a loose steering issue, I noticed that the tech was ridding the clutch--resting his foot on the pedal all the times, while waiting at traffic stops, while we were discussing the truck's issues, etc. The operation manual , at page 195 says: DO NOT REST YOUR FOOT ON THE PEDAL WHILE DRIVING, BECAUSE IT WILL CAUSE CLUTCH TROUBLE.
I had many visits at this dealership , and on every visit my truck has been abused , ending with a prematurely failure of the trow out bearing.
As every owner that drives a Toyota with 6 speed manual transmission knows that it doesn't take much for the trow out bearing to fail -due to defect in oem clutch assembly, abusing it by ridding the clutch will have a catastrophic impact on the life of the clutch.
Hopefully this will inform everybody on the clutch failing issue, and main induced causes, in my case ,ridding the clutch by the Toyota dealer
