The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Tundra. While driving approximately 60 mph on the highway, a tractor trailer entered the contact's lane. The contact depressed the brake pedal and it became stuck to the floorboard. The contact described the failure as a complete loss of brake function. In an effort to avoid a crash, the vehicle was downshifted to third gear and then second gear to stop the vehicle. The contact drove to Toyota knoxville (10415 parkside drive, knoxville, Tennessee 37922, (865) 312-6618) where it was diagnosed that the brake lines failed. The front and rear brake lines were repaired. In addition, the fuel tank bracket was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and provided the contact with case number: 1808302087. The failure mileage was approximately 117,000.
