Sold my 04 Tundra with only 87K miles on it to my buddy cause he wanted a good reliable truck for his little brother. Confident with this deal because these engines are bullet proof. One day the brother calls me and says the brake lights are staying on. I’m confused. I go and do some research. Stupid brake pad stop or bushing whatever is called has broke. Look online and autozone has a UNIVERSAL one. It’s only for Hondas. As what I thought would’ve been the solutions it’s not. The brake light went away but the gear shifter is stuck. I took the pad off and it was moveable. I tried cutting the rubber pad to fit better and it did. Not the issue is the truck won’t want to accelerate on its own like normal. These things are an easy fix but require some adjustments. My old man said never sell vehicles to friends or family. I can see now why, this whole issue has made me look bad.
