CarComplaints.com Notes: A dependable pickup option that does have a slight history of frame corrosion. Even though mud looks cool on a truck, it's best if you run this through the car wash every now and again.

This is the second time that this has happened. The last time my truck had a mere 41000 thousand miles on it and I placed my truck in 4wd while sitting still then tried to move only to have a tremendous noise ruin my day, The front differential had blown out and Toyota tried to give me a sob story about how they were in the middle of a frame recall and couldn't help me out. I had to fight tooth and nail just to get some partial coverage out of them. So here it is just 20000 thousand miles later and I tried to put my truck in 4wd drive in the driveway the other day and to my displeasure it decided to make a tremendous noise and grind and puke the fluid out again. Upon a quick glance under my truck in the 8 in of snow I knew exactly what had happened. So off to work I went I had to drive my daily 35 miles to work in 2wd on ice and snow covered highway with my truck spewing the fluid all over the bottom of it. Im going to contact the dealership where it was fixed and see what they have to say and I will be sure to update this complaint because just by what I went through the last time Im sure that I will be getting the metaphorical shaft. If this being the case Ill never own another Toyota again the rest of my life and will do my best to defer anyone from purchasing one.
Update from Apr 3, 2011: As I expected Fairfield Toyota. Muncy Pa. Phone number(570)323-4683. Will by no means stand behind their shotty work. I was told that there was nothing that they would do about it because " They only stand behind their work for 12 months; and It looks like I have approximatley 15 months on the work that I have had done there". This is nothing more than a complete rip off and I will never own another Toyota product the rest of my life. The parts alone would come to $2900.00 not counting tax and labor so thy told me. Anyone who treats their customers in this nature doesnt care at all about them. They just plainly want your money and nothing else.
