I lucked out and was just getting ready to leave my home. I was on my way to work and was getting ready to hook up my trailer and when I went to put the truck in reverse the entire shifter knob felt very limp and the truck would not shift into any of the gears. Upon further inspection I found that the entire shifter assembly/mechanism had completely snapped off from the steering column all together. I had to disassemble the mechanism so that I could/can shift the truck manually. To make it even more annoying, NON of the auto parts stores carry this particular part (auto zone had one for the Sequoia but not the Tundra. How convenient) I can’t even find the part at any pick-a-parts in town.
