For 7 years the ABS system was weird on this truck. I took it to Toyota dealers, they were clueless. I spent hours online in talk rooms, forums, getting advice. An old shade tree mechanic mentioned the brake actuator, and all the pieces fell into place. So I found a used one and had a reputable place install it and it didn't work because they didn't know about the series of steps one must to do install it. Which is something like depressing the pedal 50 times to bleed it properly, saying magical incantations amidst much blue chatter, and kicking a trash can every 7 minutes. I had to take it the the older guy who knew exactly how to install it. I still hate the Tundra's early ABS system, it's crap.

PS. I never even heard of a brake actuator before. I sure know what they are about now!
