This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The threaded cable which connects the interior door handle to the latch assembly failed, making it impossible to exit the vehicle using the interior handle. A review of online forums for this model year Toyota Tundra reveals this is a common problem. Door handle failure as a result of regular use or trauma resulting from collision could render the vehicle inescapable in the event of an emergency. The cable connecting the interior lock to the latch assembly is solid, unlike the door handle cable which is threaded. I believe the design flaw is uses of threaded cable for the door handle.
While driving, heard road noise like doors not closing. Also, air came through the doors. Contacted dealer. New seals were installed around door openings by the dealer. Door ajar light comes on at times and electric door locks open due to lock assembly failure. Key would not come out of ignition. Alarm goes off by itself due to shock sensor shorting out. The vehicle would not start due to battery failure.
When driving on a bumpy section of interstate 40 (between ft smith and little rock, ar), on two occasions, the electric door locks unlocked automatically and each time I would hit a bump, the dome light would flicker (to the bumps in the road) as if the doors were ajar. Both times, this was corrected (dome light stopped flickering) when I pulled over and reclosed all the doors on the 4 door truck.
