Recalled fuel pump with no remedy- constant vibration from 20-40mph - automatically braking from shadows- automatically redlines when cold driving - various trim melting from the sun - power steering fluid disappearing told them at every service since new - again on March 25 was told truck was good - then on March 26 they tell me they are replacing an entire steering rack. Rear brake drums are loud and clumsy feeling - rear end whine - mpg 17 at the best- stalls shifting from D > R < D. this truck is a death trap. It is sitting at the dealership waiting for a fuel pump recall remedy. The auto braking and automatic acceleration has almost killed me and most likely would have a less experienced driver. Toyota of nashia nh have given me no updates. They have locked me into this lease without paying thousands to get out of it. The date of occurrence I put is a random date as all of these issues have been happening since ieased the vehicle brand new. Toyota of nashua of course can never replicate any problems. I need help asap getting away from this truck and I cannot get any help. I am 100 percent disabled veteran and needed a reliable vehicle not a death trap. Help me please.

In the 3 or so months I have had the vehicle, I have experienced several instances of intermittent braking issues. When coming to an unexpected or urgent stop, the brake pedal feels like it cannot be depressed any further and increased pressure to the pedal does not increase stopping power. I am an athletic male weighing 205 pounds (point of reference for you on how much pressure I am able to apply). Having owned dozens of cars over 35 years, I have never experienced anything like this. The closest I can describe the issue to any of my experiences would be this: It feels very similar to using a brake on a vehicle that has power brakes when the engine is not running and there is a loss of vacuum to the system. At first, there is initial vacuum assist, but after a moment, incredible pressure is needed to stop the vehicle. I view this as an urgent and important issue. So much so, that I want to get rid of the vehicle for the safety of myself and others. Since the problem is intermittent, I don't know if the dealer can help. I will bring it to them for a check-up as a precaution though. I have tried to replicate the issue in abandoned parking lots, but have yet been unable to do so. There have been at least 3 incidents where this has occurred to me in the 4,000 miles I have driven the truck. I bought the vehicle new and followed the break-in procedures outlined in the manual. It had clear instructions to avoid hard stops, which I was careful to do.

I was drivin in the highway 65 M/H and I was using the cruise control, just as it passed through the ezpass toll booth the pre-collision system activated and brake abruptly, I also feel that when you drive about 60 miles per hour you apply the brake I feel small vibrations in the car and finally the 4X4 control knob is close to the fan knob and by mistake I connected the 4X4 when I want to turn on the fan I think it should have something like security to not be connected so easily

1. vibration felt when slowing down. Usually between 50 and 20. Below 20 it goes away. Feels like the tires are out of balance but my truck has 8K miles on it and I have felt it since the day I bought it. 2. also when the transmission is out of gear and clutch is out or the rear end makes a squeaking noise when hitting bumps. 3. clutch makes a noise when releasing it. 4. high pitch hum in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th when maintaining consistent speed. Took it to the dealer, the dealer was able to replicate the issues with comparable truck on their lot and brushed it off as normal.

On entering an intersection the vehicle applied brakes automatically and without warning. At that time the path forward of the vehicle was clear. This action caused a safety hazard by stalling the vehicle in the intersection. Applying gas resulted in no forward movement. Oncoming traffic had to stop abruptly to avoid a collision with my vehicle. I have been to the Toyota dealership two times to have this repaired to no avail. The last communication from Toyota concerning my complaint was a phone call from a factory rep advising me that I needed to read my owners manual regarding this issue. At this point I an afraid to drive the vehicle. Please help. NHTSA ref# 247577.

After purchasing a 2019 Tacoma trd off-road it developed a rubbing noise. My first two complaints were brushed off. On my third complaint I was informed of a tsb related to bad axles. The tsb doesn't pertain to the trd trims but only the SR5 and lower. The axles have been replaced twice and still have noise. The truck has been in the shop since they started repairs. The third axle has been ordered. The mechanics from Toyota stated that it usually takes about 6 new axles until the problem is corrected. Noise was only noted at low speeds.

Vehicle was driven by wife. She was pulling into a parking spot at 90 degrees, she was braking, and the vehicle failed to stop. She hit a concrete support for a light pole. The passenger side front was damaged, air bags did not deploy, twice while I was driving the vehicle, the "brake!" flashed on the dash info center. Both times I was coming to a stop behind vehicles coming to a stop. We contacted the dealership and Toyota costumer care, who had an independent source evaluate the "black box:. the data was collected and given to Toyota, who informed us that it can take 30 days for an outcome. Toyota will not say if the vehicle is safe to drive, it is up to us if we want to drive it. Toyota will not provide us alternate transportation, as per Toyota assistance pert of the vehicle warranty. So at this time I cannot drive my new, 5000 miles, truck and not provided alternative transportation.

Hi, I have been experiencing issues with my brakes for a few months now. This is a very new truck with about 6200 miles on it. When I go to bake, it feels very spongy. About half of the times that I press on the brake, I feel like my brake pedal goes almost 75% to the floor. I am worried about my safety, as I feel that I won't be able to stop in time if I needed to.

Truck is new. Brakes do not function properly. Two times the brakes failed to stop the truck. Flew threw the intersection. The brakes will flutter and fall to the floor. Other times it will be very stiff and stop the car very aggressively. Very dangerous. Brought to Toyota in lancaster California and there mechanic said it had no problems. This incident has been documented with witnesses. I will bring back every time this happens.

Cruise control slams on brakes, when in opposing lane of another car. On the same side of the road, on the interstate at, 70 miles an hour, then the cruise control, floors the throttle to around, 5,000 RPM's. then the driveshaft has vibration, around 44 - 45miles an hour, also vibrates in certain RPM ranges. Which franklin Toyota, gladly told me, it's just a characteristic of the truck. When I know that it's not, another thing truck sometimes gets stuck in certain RPM ranges, like 3,000 rpms, at 55 miles an hour, then when you go up a hill, it feels like transmission is slipping only have 1,800 miles on it, this truck sucks terribly, oh and the driver's side window, gas developed, a rattle after about 1600 miles, not too happy with my purchase, feel like I got ripped off. Will never buy another Toyota. And the best part I'm paying 35,000 $ over a 6 year period for this piece of junk. Toyota it seems makes nothing but clunkers

From day one the Tacoma vibrates and shutters when breaking. The dealership said that Toyota would not look at it until I drove 1,500 miles first. The first time I brought in to the dealership they said they could not find anything wrong and it was ok. The second time I brought it to the dealership they said they had to shave the front rotors and sand the brake pads. The third time I brought it to the dealership they said it had defective rear bent axles and they had to replace those components. I understand Toyota has been aware of these issues for several years.

The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that when depressing the brake pedal, it would be stiff and other times it would travel to the floorboard. The failure often occurred when the vehicle was in idle. The vehicle was taken to le brun Toyota (2435 rochester rd, canandaigua, NY 14424 (585) 312-2703) where the vehicle was not diagnosed. The mechanic stated that there was nothing wrong with the brakes and that the vehicle was functioning as designed. The contact and the mechanic got into another 2019 Toyota Tacoma on the lot and discovered that vehicle's brakes did the same as his vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and assigned a case number to the contact. In addition, the contact went to the dealer another occasion and test drove another 2019 Tacoma which presented the same braking experience. The failure mileage was 1,500.

I have 3500 miles on the vehicle and on 2 separate occasions with the speed control system engaged the vehicle sensed an obstruction in front of me, when there was none, and abruptly slowed my Tacoma down from 65 mph to less than 30 mph. Both occurrences were on NJ highways. Fortunately, the traffic behind me was far enough that I wasn't rear ended. I pulled over and disengaged the cruise control. I have reported both incidents to Toyota service in green room NJ.
