This vibration problem started at 700 miles, but could not replicate with tech at the dealer. Went back on same issue at 13,000 miles and could duplicate issue, but TAS told the tech that it was a characteristic of the vehicle. The tech did compare it to another SR5 on the lot and said it was similar in feel and drive line angles were approximately the same.

The vibration occurs while slowing down and will continue while cruising at 25-30 mph.

I took the truck to a driveline specialists and after measuring the angles he walked me through his process of clearing up up issues like this. He showed me and gave me the printout that shows the driveline angles do not jive with a proper functionality. The angels are 5.2 and 5.3. Ideally these should be at 4.3 for both and smooth the rive out.

If I load around 300 lbs in the backseat, over the carrier bearing the truck rides smooth and I am unable to recreate the issue. The more weight in the cab the better the ride. Loading weight into the bed does not have any effect.

This is my second 3rd Gen Tacoma and I had the same problem with it and it was covered under a TSB. I also had a rear brake issue that was caused by a bent rear axle. Toyota agreed to buy this back after a lengthy lemon law process, but on the way to turn it in a truck pulled out in front of me and it was totaled.

Currently the dealership's hands are tied until a TSB is issue for the 2018.

I have also taken this up with Toyota and I am currently waiting for a case manager to call me.

I am hoping I don't need to call the lawyer for this truck too.
