paint came off

Tacoma 2017/White all my four doors are peeling off the white paint around the windows.

I have contacted the dealer/Toyota and both said they don't have enough complaints (I think that's a LIE!). They said my warranty has run our for the paint. 6yr old truck with shitting paint job!! repaint will cost $3000-$5000!

They have a recall but left out the Tacoma's, pretty sad since there is a big fan base for them, so much for the TOYOTA BRAND!!!

Don't buy these trucks!!! this will be my last Tacoma, I've had 3 so far this will be my last.

I had a Mustang 02 Ford 21 yr old car white the paint is perfect, no issues!!!

I went to an auto body shop and then to the local Toyota dealer. They said this a recall that I need to bring up with the manufacturer.

There is a recall notice for the 4-runner, Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Rav 4 and Scion for paint blistering and peeling problems for the Super White and Blizzard Pearl Paint colors for varying production years. I have the same issue with a 2017 Tacoma but because there is no recall notice for my VIN (the Tacoma is not on the recall notice) Toyota just blows me off. Why should I be expected to live with blistering and peeling paint on a 5 year old vehicle with 35,000 miles on it? I ask customer support who I can talk to about the issue that can make a decision, and I am told there is no one. This is just Toyota blowing me off because they don't want to have to pay to fix it. There is always someone higher in the food chain that can address the issue. I don't know where to go from here but I am unhappy that I may have to pay $3800 to fix it myself before it starts rusting.

My 2017 Tacoma has paint peeling off the body panels. Toyota has refused to accept responsibility for the issue. The Tacoma has been excluded from their extended paint warranty for vehicles painted with Super White 040. My Tacoma and thousands of other Tacomas suffer with this paint defect and Toyota expects you to pay out of pocket for a know manufacturing defect. Toyota does not car about its most enthusiastic and loyal customer base. My dealership has assured me this is a wide spread problem and Toyota refuses to address it.

This happened on my passenger side back in April Toyota said they will do a “GoodWill” and paint that door. I told them about this side but they said since it wasn’t flaking they would not paint it. Now the driver side tarted flaking a month ago and Toyota still hasn’t given me an answer on what they will do. They said I am now out of my warranty but back when I first told them about it I wasn’t. They should paint my entire truck. Spend all this money on my first truck and this happens.

Tacoma Trd Off Road

Purchased my truck in April 2017, in January 2018 the paint on roof was off. It looked like stripes of white on the roof. Contacted Toyota ad they sent me to the Xylon representative for a quote. He said that its not the Xylon but the top coat of the truck is coming off. You could smell the paint when you wash the truck. then Toyota took for ever to give me a solution to this. it took several hours days and months until they decided to call back and paint my whole truck. the problem now is that the paint shop damaged the inside of the bed liner. It it sprayed with white and sanded behind the rear window. Plus the front drivers light is dinged. Secondly they had to detail the truck because the water spots on the truck was so bad that I couldn't drive at night. they scrubbed so hard that it left scratched on all the windows. there are still water spots on the wipers and the truck looks like an old truck with a new paint job. This truck is only a year and an half old. I still didn't take it off roading yet and I get all these problems. I know everyone likes Toyota but they don't make them like they use to. Don't waste your money like I did. I paid 40,000 dollars for a truck to become second hand in less than an year. Toyota should take responsibility for making crappy trucks and selling then for too much money.
