This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The seatbelt/airbag sensor in the front passenger seat is malfunctioning. The vehicle will not detect a person sitting in the seat, and in turn will not deploy the airbag in the event of an accident.
While driving on the freeway at approximately 60 mph with the traffic coming to a stop, we were suddenly rear ended and the passenger seating on the right backseat hit her head on the plastic piece attached on the headrest of her seat and suffered a hematoma on the back of her head. She was attended by the paramedics and was immediately transported to the hospital. The plastic piece, which caused the injury, is located in the lower part of the headrest and can be easily felt by just touching the headrest. There is minimal to none cushioning. I believe that the two rear headrests (left and right rear seats) of the 2014 Toyota Tacoma doublecab is unsafe and can cause serious injuries.
