2014 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport seats wear prematurely! Bought as a certified vehicle and noticed within the week the outside seat is wearing very badly. My '04 ranger with 125,000 miles still look very good! After purchasing I went to several dealers and looked at many used 2014 tacomas as and they all have the same seat wear. Some with 20,000 miles or so. So I know it was not due to the previous owner neglecting the vehicle. Toyota should replace these vehicles interior with an updated and proper fabric at Toyota's expense. These are not cheap vehicles and is unacceptable for the consumer to have to just deal with it. I will be making a complaint to the BBB as soon as I finish posting this.
cloth seats excessive wear at 2700 miles seat and back
Toyota changed fabric supplier, their problems with defective material should not become customers problem. Also if so koeea found material is not up to view code, seat material should be replaced prior to severe burning or death. any vehicle showing severe wear after only 2700 miles is horrible. My 1999 Tacoma with cloth seats and over 190000 miles still has solis seats with no wear so new material is highly suspect
