2013 Taco bought new off lot. Rarely driven and just turned over 15K miles. Wind sheer whistle occurring sporadically starting Feb 2014. Thought or maybe hoped it would stop over time and additional miles. Had spidered chip in windshield with replacement by auto glass dealer. Whistling continued. Toyota wouldn't touch it as the 'windshield warranty' had been negated by using someone else to repair. Service Manager indicated there was a known problem but it had been fixed. Couldn't say when or what models it affected. Auto glass dealer replaced and whistling now gone in the windshield but it now leaks during strong wind and rain. I can still hear air coming through in the same spot - passenger side at the top. While I can and will go to glass dealer for leak the side windows now whistling as well. Gathering the evidence of other complaints and will be heading to the dealership in the next 2 weeks or so. Will update after that adventure!

Update from Oct 14, 2017: Well - I didn't get anywhere with Toyota UNTIL my windshield had a crack again this spring. I called the dealership and asked them who I should use since before they told me I voided the warranty not getting a Toyota dealership to install the windshield. The tech asked what I was talking about - it was the same tech that had told me I previously the warranty had been voided. The tech then told me Toyota had issued an alert of some sort earlier 2017 noting the whistling may be due to faulty window trim/seal. WHODDA THUNK? He offered a one time 'good will' repair. Utterly shocked I of course accepted! It took ~4 hours but they replaced the seals in all 4 windows - FOR FREE! Thanks Toyota! Now I'm loyal again...

Annoying windshield buzz as seen in the following video:

Took 4 visits to the dealership to address, after the first 3 attempts to reseal the windshield I called Toyota Canada and between them and the Service Manager at the dealership they finally resolved the issue with a new windshield, new windshield molding, and replaced the front grille.

The day I drove my 2013 Tacoma off the lot for a 500 mile round trip, the driver side window sounded like the window was loose. The entire trip I could hear in left ear a noise - something like window moving against the seal. Then, all-of-a-sudden, a loud buzzing sound came from the driver side door and window area. Thinking it was the review mirror, I tried to adjust the mirror. Both electronically, and manually pulling the entire mirror assembly into and away from the side of the body of the truck. This had no effect. I mention this to the Toyota dealer, who took it for a test drive. He could not duplicate the issue. This noise came and went very rapidly. Multiple trips to the dealership found nothing. So then the issue began to happen more and more. At first it was BUZZ BUZZ, but then it became BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. With over 20,000 miles of listening to this noise and the window moving in the door seal, I was able to record the last 5 minutes of a 20 minute session of the buzzing noise. Trust me that was a very painful 20 minutes were nothing would make the noise go away and it was loud. After I recorded the noise I pulled over, opened and closed the door and put the window up and down several times. It took this recording to finally make Toyota take notice. They replaced the window seal. Replacement of the window seal changed one thing, the noise is now a low pitch noise instead of a high pitch noise. For the past 20,000 miles, (I travel a lot, I know) I have had to put up with this noise. There does not seem to be an end in sight.
