One of my leafs in the driver side rear leaf spring pack has cracked. The dealership quoted $900 to replace this leaf pack and recommends replacing the other to have even ride height. I have never towed anything or hauled any heavy weight in the back of my truck. Without heavy use of my suspension, I seems that the design of the leaf spring is still flawed. I do not know how long the crack has been present as they just noticed it while replacing brakes and doing an inspection. There is a recall on 2005-2011 toyota tacoma leaf springs for this exact problem. My truck is not part of the recall, but it appears it also had the same problem. If others have had this problem then they may need to extend the range of years covered in the recall.
