Nearly brand new tire (less than 3000 miles) sidewall exploded on the highway (50 mph). Toyo, the manufacturer has done nothing to address this issue. I've been blown off, and had my judgement questioned. This is a major public safety issue that should be addressed. Tire model is open country R/T (not listed under options).
Three week new (June 11,2015) Michelin ltx A/T 2 all season 265/6517 112S purchased and installed by costco, blew out drivers side rear( July, 6, 2015) at 70 mph with an oat of 78 degrees. Entire sid wall disintegrated. Tire was properly filled with nitrogen to the manufactures recommended pressure and had approximately 1500 miles on the tire) 2009 Tacoma club cab truck 4 X 4 with two light weight passengers and no cargo. Note: This same model tire was recalled by Michelin last summer (2014) due to a sidewall defect that caused unknown sidewall blow outs.
