The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that she received a recall notice in reference to NHTSA campaign id number(09V388000-vehicle speed control:accelerator pedal). After getting the recall repairs done she was unsatisfied because the floor mats do not fit comfortable and her foot slips off of the accelerator pedal. She also states that she would like for them to reverse the remedy due to the problem that she experienced at the time. The manufacturer was contacted and they informed her that the government will not allow them to reverse the remedy. The failure mileage was approximately 14,500.
The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Tacoma. While driving above 45 mph the vehicle began to rapidly accelerate and would not slow down. As a consequence she crashed and went into a ditch. Her front fender, hood and driver side door were damaged. There was a police report available. The Toyota manufacturer has not been contacted. The failure mileage was 10,000. Updated 03/10/10 the consumer stated the accelerator pedal would stick sporadically and infrequently. Updated 10/12/10
