I have two concerns: First is the clear-coat and paint on the vehicle rubbing off causing the roof and other body panels to rust, which in turn causes the structural integrity of the vehicle to be compromised in the event of an accident/rollover. Second is that the front headlamps fill up with water/moisture during cold weather/rain/ and car washes. This could lead to the headlamps shorting out causing an accident and possible injuries/deaths. Toyota so far has offered no solution to either concern and my extended warranty company claims they won't cover sealed beam headlamps. If they are as they claim sealed beam headlamps how is the water intrusion happening? both of these concerns are safety related and should be addressed as such. I am the second owner of this vehicle and it only has less than 62,000 miles.
Toyota denied me help with things that should be a recalls! they are greedy and out right lying sociopathic thieves! the top rear brake light on my Tacoma 07 truck lets rain water in. This is goin to cause mold and has already blown out the compass on the ceiling as the wiring for this is in the ceiling! and seats gettin wet over and over from rain water gettin in the top rear light. They also just denied me any help refunding me for updated headlight lens that had to come out with which kept burning sockets, blowing bulbs and burning the lens! there tsb which should be a recall is T-sb-0129-11. This tsb thing is a scam so they dont have to account for their poor quality mistakes. I paid 24,000 for this truck and Toyota wont help me at all with their defective product! they are pure evil! there is no way I can get water in the top rear break light, no way whatsoever, theres no way I can burn out sockets and lens over and over since iv owned the truck! people dont go to the dealerships because they are rude as hell! they have no idea what theyre doin in first place and they pull scams left and right. They said they wont help cause I dont go to dealership enough can U believe that"?" im not out of reality at all, I dont use facebook, I dont drink or drug, I am in no way out of reality whatsoever! I do nothing that results in irresponsibility in any way shape or form! I dont spend money everyday goin down a river. Im very conservative and meek. This is enough ! 2007 Toyota Tacoma double cab with daytime running lights. The orange plastic lens material has cracked and burned due to the excessive heat from the bulb. The effects were noticed around 60,000 to 70,000 miles. Running headlights during the day to avoid having running lights on.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that there was excessive corrosion on the frame where the wiring of the vehicle was located. Additionally, the headlights flickered while driving at different speeds. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
The orange bulb in the headlights burnt through plastic casing inside the headlight. One side has cracked. I'm not exactly sure when this happened, but I did notice it a while back that the bulb was burning the plastic, however, I just noticed that it cracked on one side.

The daytime running lights that came with my Tacoma started running so hot that it is melting/cracking the plastic lens/housing. After a simple google search of the problem, I came across multiple forums with users who have the same problem. Some were lucky enough to have this problem occur within the warranty period but others, such as myself, were asked to pay upwards of $800 for new housings. After looking at the bulbs, I noticed that even the housings for the bulbs are showing burn marks. On the road I have seen at least 8 different Toyota Tacoma with the same problem, their lenses are either bubbling up and burning, or fully cracked. This safety option that came standard on my Tacoma is now a safety issue that needs to be addressed.
