The vehicle frame and included tow hitch and misc areas of the undercarriage are extremely rusted to the point of cracking and flaking metal. Also of a less serious concern, the alloy rims are heavily corroded, both conditions were noticed within two years of ownership. I am the original and sole vehicle owner. The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Tacoma. While driving approximately 60 mph, the contact noticed that the tire pressure warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing where the technician was unable to diagnose a failure. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the front driver side and the front and rear passenger side rims were corroded. The vehicle was included in the recall under NHTSA campaign id number: 06V061000 (tires:bead) and taken to the dealer for inspection but the tires were not replaced under the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000. Updated 01/03/12 upadted 01/05/12
