This is the second time replacing the wheel bearings for the front passenger side tire. Dealer mentioned that the driver's side is making noise too and should also be replaced. I thought wheel bearings should last longer then 60K miles and it's very expensive repair. I'm currently looking for another repair facility in my area rather then the dealership who is asking $1105 plus tax for replacing both wheel bearings.

My first time having this problem with my vehicle Passenger Side Front Wheel bearing had to be replaced at 60K. Actual the dealership said they replace the entire hub.

Left front wheel bearing was noisy the entire time I owned the Tacoma. I never replaced it but it's something I hated about the otherwise good truck. Wish you could re-grease the bearing but you can't, you have to replace the entire hub assembly which is a PITA.

Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab 4.0L V6

I started hearing a noise first I thought it was the fan clutch going out but ruled that out right away. Like they saw keep driving it til it gets louder and you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from.Turns out it was a wheel bearing going dry. You cant grease them like you could before they are pressed in to the hub.
