I have owned several 2nd Gen Tacomas. They all have junk frames. An aren't built like the use to be. They aren't worth what they cost anymore. Don't buy one until they fix these frame issues. There are thousands of people out there that are getting shafted because of this and Toyota won't do anything to fix it. I fixed it and I sold it back to the dealer and they turned around and sold them to some other dummy. Without fixing the known issue with my trucks. Yea they're good trucks if your only gonna run them for a few years. And I'm sure the motor will outlast the frame. Cause it will rust slick out in under 10yrs. Good luck if you own a 2nd gen Tacoma. Better not leave the house if it snows or is raining out. I tried to get my trucks fixed several times and nothing ever happened. Just the run around in short. Makes me sick. But you live and learn. I will buy a horse before I buy another Tacoma until the prove to me they have fixed this issue. I hope this post helps someone in the future not buy a 2nd gen Tacoma there junk good luck...
