Front passenger wheel fell off causing a rollover accident.
It was mid week around 5 pm, I was driving down a highway doing the posted speed of 65 mph when suddenly the front passenger wheel broke off and caused the vehicle to begin rolling in the direction of the front passenger wheel 6 times on the highway. No warning, no wobbling no indication of any problems, it just broke off. We are lucky to be alive. We still suffer to this day from internal, external and psychological injury. No other vehicles were impacted. The vehicle never left the highway. I did not receive a citation for the accident, how am I at fault?
I think that Toyota needs to take a closer look as this is not the first time I've heard people stating that this very thing happened to them in their same generation Toyota Tacoma. Why is no one looking into this? I do not appreciate being blamed for this, yet I have to suffer not only the physical and mental injuries of the accident but being labeled at fault for it! Nor me or my passenger received any sort of compensation from the insurance company and the owner of the vehicle did not receive anything for the loss of his beautiful truck either. In fact the police report even listed the owner as my passenger, and he was not!
Regardless, I feel like someone should look into this. I also feel like Toyota should compensate all 3 of us for hat happened. It was and still is the worst thing i''ve even been through in my entire life! I use to love driving and now I fear myself and anyone I love getting into a vehicle at all! It had completely changed my view on vehicles, and the nightmares are very frequent and disturbing. Thanks
