Prior to recall consumer replaced all four Firestone wilderness (225-75R-15) tires, due to tires having a 4 to 5 inch split between the first and second tread, consumer was advised that his tires were not included in recall because because they were not manufactured in Decatur il.
While traveling on a maintain cinder road, the tire failed. The dealer refused to replace the tires and refered consumer to Firestone, tire was a Wilderness AT, P265/75R15, dot # W29V, consumer requested reimbursement.
PE00 020; consumer was traveling about 55mph on highway and heard a popping noise/ vibration. Also, noticed that his vehicle was unbalanced. He was able to pull over to the shoulders, and noticed that right rear tire tread separated. There were no injuries. Firestone, wilderness #httire, P215/70R1496S.
PE00020, original equipment on 2000, Toyota, Tacoma, 16 inch tire. While driving there was a loud thumping noise and vibration on the steering due to two front tire belts that broke, and seemed that tread was separating. Toyota was willing to replace all 5 tires, including the spare.
