The contact owns a 2000 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that the door locks, windshield wipers, and brakes failed. Also, the rear axle fractured and the bumper detached from the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the Toyota of the desert dealer (located at 68105 kyle road, cathedral city, California 92234; 760-328-0871) where it was repaired. The contact was unsure of all the repairs that were made. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The VIN and failure mileage were unknown.
My leaf springs are broken and not replaceable due to rusted casters attaching to a rusted frame. Corporate Toyota tells me I can have it fixed but every dealer tells me that my truck is not included in the Toyota rust campaign. I have found literature online that includes my VIN but no dealers will help me. I just bought this truck in January of this year for 7500 and am now out 7500.
