The tachoma calipers have 4 pistons. If one of these pistons starts to drag just a little bit, it causes rotor warping. It seems neither the dealer nor the two brake places I took it too, were capable of detecting the dragging caliper. In all cases all the repair places did was resurface or replace the disc's/pads. Eventually after being sick of needing brake work every 8 months I was reading the taco forums and discovered the difficulty of diagnosing the calipers. So I took the pads out and repeated pressed the pedal and pushed the pistons in on each side looking to see if any of the pistons was moving "abnormally" sure enough, one of them was moving about 1/4 as far as the remaining three.
