The whole under carriage of the truck is rusted and has been for a number of years. It started in 2003. Its really bad now, I found out that I could make a complaint here I didn't know that I could before. I know there wasn't a recall on the T100.
Frame is completely rusted and cannot get the vehicle inspected. A-arms are rusted through with many holes. Rear frame is rusted next to gas tank causing unsafe driving conditions. I understand this is a common problem with all T100 trucks and although Tacoma and Tundra have been recalled there are not plans to do the same with the T100.
The contact 1996 Toyota T-100. The contact stated that after spraying his vehicle he noticed that the frame was severely covered with rust and a hole was in it. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer nor was it repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure and current mileage was approximately 92,856.
