Took my car in last April when Toyota sent out the bulletin regarding the excessive oil consumption. My car failed the test and I was told I would be contacted when parts came in and to keep checking and filling my oil.
A couple months passed and I received another letter saying parts were being shipped to contact my dealer to schedule an appointment. When I called they said they did not have parts yet or a date as to when Toyota would be shipping anything. Several months passed and I routinely called and talked to my service advisor.
In January 2016 I received a call that parts were in, I called to schedule an appoint, and the day before my advisor called to say the kit was in but not the pistons which they were pretty positive I needed as well. So again I called routinely and spoke with my advisor and there are still no parts and no idea when there will be any.
I have called Toyota's HQ twice to only be looped back to the customer care reps at my local dealership. I am putting a qt of oil in my car about every 2 weeks... this is ridiculous, I can't even sell the car if I wanted to.
