The van stopped abruptly at 75mph. The weather was great. It was late at night. There was only one other car on the road, the one the PCS stopped us from hitting. I could see inside the car in front of us. There were no exits. The road was smooth. There was no hospital near by except the state mental hospital. My husband had fallen to sleep at the wheel. I was wide awake. We had taken a long nap at Dairy Queen in Huntington, Texas.
We stopped at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Jasonville, Texas. I was treated, medication given to me and a prescription for pain and a muscle relaxer. My neck was snapped front and back... whiplash. So far I have not been able to find an attorney to take this on because I was not killed. My vision is bad, gets blurry and I have to rest my eyes. That makes it difficult to work on my website. Typing anything gives me a bad headache.
There wasn't a collision with another vehicle. I survived the incident and was not severely injured. My concern was a problem with our van and the problem possibly happening again or to someone else's vehicle. In searches I have found problems have occurred with the Toyota Tundra but the actual problem was of a different kind. I've no desire to travel. I did contact the main plant for Toyota. A man came and checked our van. He downloaded whatever information and sent it to Plano, Texas. He said it would take about 30 days for the information to be traced.
It took only about 2 weeks. He sent an email that contained a document that we surely can't read. It would take a specific instrument to read it.
The response I received from Plano was that I was sleeping and said my husband and I both were injured. That's a flat out lie. She said I said I received bruises on my chest. That too is a flat out lie. I guess there wasn't enough money to be had except if it would turn out to be a major lawsuit like the faulty tires. Interesting. Has anybody else had problems with their PCS system? We have turned ours off.
My husband always has the cruise control on. This lady said there was AN incident where the cruise control was not own and the van was going about 60 mph. The driver depressed the accelerator and pressed on the brake and eventually stopped the vehicle. My husband always has the cruise control on if the speed is 45 mph or more. And note she said there was AN incident which means it was only one incident. However our van was set at 75 mph and my husband had fallen to sleep at the wheel. I was wide awake. I screamed. Too bad the program could not record my scream.
