The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Sienna. While driving 30 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise. Two days later, the sun roof exploded without warning. The vehicle was taken to clearwater Toyota (21799 us hwy 19 N, clearwater, fl 33765, (800) 677-6099) where it was determined that something fell onto the sun roof and caused the damage. The contact was advised to file an insurance claim. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 1811150671, but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Sienna. While driving 50 mph, a loud abnormal noise was heard from the roof area. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road, slid open the sun roof cover, and noticed that the glass was shattered. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The dealer (sunshine Toyota, 1355 w dickman rd, battle creek, mi 49037, (269) 965-1000) was contacted and stated that the failure not under warranty and that an appointment would need to be scheduled for diagnostic testing and repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000. The VIN was not available.
