I bought 2016 Toyota Sienna brand new. I been a loyal customer at the Merced Toyota up until this happened back in January 11 2023. I paid Toyota to diagnose to problem and they found that I had a leak from the sunroof outer seal and that’s why my headliner was soaked all the way down to the floor mats. They gave me a quote to fix it but didn’t have the headliner in stock. I waited about 2 weeks then came back to Toyota and they said they wouldn’t do it because mold was growing on the carpet. So I took it to Supershop and they replaced the headliner and the sunroof outer seal back in March of 2023.
Today is 12/30/23 and it’s been raining a lot. I saw that I still have the same problem still. I took it to 2 Guys and they say I have a leak in the gutters of my sunroof. They said I would need a sunroof because it’s gonna cost about 3k of labor to get to it and seal the gutters. My van is still under warranty but warranty is saying it’s wear and tear and that’s not covered. Please help if you can because I don’t want to spend another 4K to fix it. Right now I’m thinking about trading it in and never going with Toyota again.
