I rented the van from Enterprise at Seatac Airport.
The rear view mirror is mounted too low on the windshield and is about the size of my shoe (men's 13... well maybe not quite that big, but huge none-the-less). The glass is average size but the electronics and trim on the mirror add about 3/4" to the bottom and 3/8' to each side. When at an intersection or changing lanes, to get a look out the right front quarter requires leaning forward and putting your nose almost to the windshield. If you try to look around the right side of the mirror, the corner post obstructs the view. The view out the rear is almost non-existent, and looking over your shoulder is no help either as the vans center and rear posts and the rear seat headrests allow nothing to be seen. There is a huge blind spot. I could deal with this as I'm used to using side view mirrors while trailering (with larger side mirrors, of course), but it is still a problem when changing lanes on the I5.
The headlight dimmer on the mirror didn't work, and there is no lever to flip it up. I tried to tilt it up but the mirror is not polarized so that did nothing to help. It's either endure the high beams of the car behind you or aim the mirror at the ceiling and see nothing.
I seriously can see this issue causing accidents.
