We received a notice on May 23rd that our airbag was recalled and to not sit in the passenger front seat due to risk of serious injury or death. The reason we bought a van is we need to be able to Transport multiple people at once. This is extremely inconvenient and negligent on the part of Toyota. There has been no communication or action to correct this after 3 months of the initial notification.
No incident yet but I am concerned about my safety since there is no remedy for the recall yet. I want to know that I have options and what coverage do I have if the airbags deploy.

Takata air bag recall is taking an unsatisfactory amount of time to get started. I still have a defective air bag in my 2011 Toyota Sienna which is like a bomb that can explode at anytime. This condition is intolerable and needs to be corrected immediately. Please advise when my vehicles air bag will be replaced. Thanks.
"takata recall" received notice from Toyota that takata front passenger airbag inflator zone a has been issued a safety recall. No current solution given to fix problem but advised not to have passengers in front seat. This is a terrible solution for a problem with possible maiming or deadly consequence as it diminishes the utility of the vehicle. The ntsb should mandate that Toyota replace these devices immediately or within a very short period of time. I understand that there are detonators manufactured that do not contain the volatile gas used in the takata equipped bags. Toyota should acquire these at their expense and refit the vehicles with the alternative detonators.
