Motor on sliding doors have not worked properly since we first purchased it brand new. We were told they "stick" because the rubber seals are so new. The doors only open part of the time. 50% of the time when you open them, they beep loudly and get stuck, just like day one. Toyota continues to claim there is nothing wrong with it and anytime we've mentioned it, they say they found no problems. It's a safety hazard because they get jammed and can only be yanked open manually. A child could not open it in the event of an emergency where they need to make a quick escape. The seal on the window is also broken and pulls down when you open the window. The seal pulls down with it. This happened to our brand-new Toyota Camry, as well as my mother's brand new Toyota fj cruiser. Toyota has checked it out and they claimed it's wear and tear. They replaced it for free the first time, but less than a year later it happened again! now I see a recall on doors, this needs to B addressed, that recall is not being handled yet either. Again, it's a safety hazard for children getting out, or doors flying open when vehicle is in motion.

There is a recall on the spare tire carrier cable. I have also received a recall notice for the sliding door. I contacted my local Toyota dealer( Toyota of Iowa city) located in Iowa city, ia. I contacted them 6-8 months ago when I received the first notice. They said they would order parts and be in contact with me. I recently received a second notice concerning the spare tire carrier cable. I'm frustrated with their lack of response as this is not the first time I have had an issue with this dealership. The power drivers seat does not function properly and they were going to order parts for it. When I called about the spare tire I asked about the seat and she had no idea what I was talking about.

When car was purchased new we where told that a safety feature on this vehicle was that the rear sliding doors would not close while there was something in its path stopping it from closing completely. Ex. child or body part. This morning while trying to reach behind him and attach his seatbelt my 6yo son hand got into the path of the door and his hand became stuck in its path instead of the door opening back to the open position it set there and continued to cycle to the close position.

I put the vehicle in park, yet although the shift is in park, the indicator says its in reverse, then the van starts rolling backwards. Shut off the engine and its like the van is in neutral, the van starts rolling down hill.extremely dangerous I almost ran over a child behind me! I spent thousands of dollars to replace shifter cable, I later saw recall on 2014 model but 2011 model has identical problem.

My van came equipped with Bridgestone P235/55rf18 tires. I had to replace them at 26,000 miles. The edges were almost worn through. I never had a radial tire go bad with that low mileage. Bridgestone and Firestone offered no help. On line lots of people are unhappy. Bridgestone said they were made to factory specs. The local Firestone dealer told we they were not good ties. I replaced them with same tire. No spare without a run flat is a safety is I could not find another run flat to fit. The van does not have a spare.

I was driving down on the high way at 70 mph and suddenly heard a cracking sound. After that I heard a wind noise you typically hear when your windows are not completely closed. In a seconds, I heard another breaking sound and see some debris on my rear-view mirror. Then I opened my sun room cover and figured that out my sunroof glass was completely shattered. If I had not had closed my cover, it could have hurt my families inside the van. Also the falling debris can cause serious risk to others driving in the highway. I need Toyota's answers on this matter.

Toyota had a recall on it's spare tire cable and removed my spare tire to the rear inside of my auto. I was told a fix would be made to replace the tire cable and the spare tire would be placed back under the car. It has been almost a year and no fix has been made. I called my dealer several times and they tell me no fix is available. When are they going to get this fix done? I need the space the spare tire is taking. I purchased my car in wis. And live there 6 months out of the year.

I'm contacting you to complain about the interim recall repair performed by Toyota, recall 14V-273. I had the interim repair performed in the summer of 2014 which involved putting the spare tire into the cargo area in the back of the van and securing it with a tie down. I have been unable to fold my seats back into the cargo area when I needed to and have a large portion of the cargo area occupied by the spare tire and tie down. For a short time I could live with this. But the recall was announced almost one year ago. I contacted Toyota today and the representative stated a final repair should be available in mid 2015. I would like the final fix performed as soon as possible. It is unreasonable to have this lengthy delay between performing the interim repair and the final repair. Can you please investigate this matter and urge Toyota to promptly issue the final repair?

(Toyota, Sienna 2011) passenger automatic sliding door anti-jam sensor failed. Object (macbook) was placed in door pocket compartment. Door switch was pressed and door began opening. Macbook did not completely clear the doors path completely and door began crushing it. I could hear something wasn't right and saw the door bend the laptop and park in the fully open position. You could clearly see and hear the door had met an obstacle and was struggling, but just pressed through it. Door made no attempt to stop or reverse. The macbook was damaged. The whole machine was bent by the door and I can no longer fit a cd in the optical slot because it is now curved rather than flat. These doors are strong enough be bend metal! the "anti-jam" system failed. After seeing that, I really think that these doors have to capability to seriously inure someone.

In may of 2011 I purchased a Toyota Sienna 8 passenger that has been reclassified in Nov 2011 from 1550 lb cargo and passenger capacity.to 1325 that renders it non compatible, for which I had bought the vehicle for. Therefore it has caused and renders this what was 8 passenger and value to decrease. This is clearly a miss representation of sale, and customers should be compensated or a fix to restore this classification should be issued.I have contacted both Toyota and dealer to my regret no solution for this problem is available but if one were to put 8 passenger and cargo, skip the cargo or luggage 8 X's adults @190= 1520 who would be held accountable"??"

Vehicle was in park on a flat street. I wanted to move the vehicle forward, so I depressed the brake, and began shifting the (automatic) shifter to drive. The gear shift lever never made it to the drive position. As I moved the lever, the car shot backwards, striking a vehicle behind me with tremendous force. I have had the same model car for over 7 years and never had this happen. I cannot figure out how or why the car accelerated (forcefully) in reverse as I was shifting into drive.
