2009 Toyota Sienna - raised the power rear hatch to load luggage. Was under the hatch when it started to automatically close on me. I had to use force for it not to close on me. Not sure what would have happened if it was a child putting something in the back. I don't think a young child could have stopped it from squeezing them. It would not stay open unless we manually held it. Had to manually hold it open the whole week of vacation. When returned, took it into the dealer the struts were bad and they replaced them under warranty. Works fine now.
