The middle seat in the second row of seating slammed down onto my 10 year old son's hand and severely broke and mangled his finger. He required surgery at a children's hospital the next day to repair it. The first and third seats in the second row shut and lock into the floor relatively safely, but the middle seat slams down like a guillotine. The car was parked and my son was helping clean it out.
The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Sienna the contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the driver side middle seat abruptly flipped forward onto a child, causing the child to sustain a broken leg. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was contacted but the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 44,000 and the current mileage was 44,356.
