- Toyota Website/Safety Recall Information - Your problem may be part of Safety Recall Campaign LSC90K. I have a 2008 6cyl. Sienna. Had 2 major oil leaks in 2 years due to faulty oil hose which was subsequently part of a recall campaign. I have a claim pending with Toyota for reimbursement. Go to Toyota site, then to Safety Recall Information to see if your vehicle included in this recall.

I was at a stoplight less than two miles from my house when I noticed what appeared to be a little bit of smoke or steam coming from under the hood or underneath the car. I didn't smell anything, no warning lights were on, and the car showed no indication of a problem. It was night and since their was no good place to pull over I decided to go home. A mile from home the oil light flashed on and off a couple of times. Less than a quarter mile from home I heard the engine start knocking so made it in the driveway and quickly turned off the engine. There was oil all over the bottom part of the engine and in my driveway and the undercarriage was completely soaked in oil all the way to the rear bumper. The mechanic found out it was caused by a tiny hole in a hose from the crankcase. The hose was only available from dealer. The mechanic said if I had gone much further then I could've lost the engine. If it had happened on the freeway I doubt I ever would've noticed.
