Airbag warning light intermittently flashes, upon personal research on owner forums this is a common issue that is most commonly fixed by wiggling or disconnecting/reconnecting the airbag sensor wiring below the front seats.
Airbag system warning light due to failing connector under the front passenger seat. Code 44 / B0111. See Toyota T-SB-0069-12. This is a pattern failure in a critical safety system.
My 2006 Toyota Sienna has an intermittent airbag warning lamp appear off and on. I have received numerous notifications from the manufacturer regarding various recalls which have usually been dismissed as unnecessary from the various dealers when I brought the vehicle in for inspection. I have not brought the vehicle to the dealer for the airbag warning light. I am concerned about the safety of this vehicle since Toyota has been mostly non-compliant when it comes to performing warranty or safety related issues with their vehicles. At least that has been my personal experience. It took the threat of disciplinary action from the U.S. congress to get a response from the CEO of Toyota to attend a hearing on vehicle safety issues, so I have no faith in Toyota taking responsibility.
The air bag light keeps coming on in the van. My auto tech said the air bags do not work when the light is on. He also said the problem with the van is a wiring defect, and not a problem with the actual air bags. Toyota should recall these vans and fix them at their cost. This situation is dangerous.
The airbag light suddenly turned on one day and has remained on to this date (8/7/2019) every time when we turn on engine and drive the vehicle. We are the original car owner, and the odometer is 78919 miles. We called local Toyota dealer and were informed that our 2006 Toyota Sienna van is not on airbag recall list.

Airbag warning light flashes. Car has 150,000 miles on it but this has been ongoing since about 60,000 miles. Blinks 3-4 times and goes off. Blinks again. If I jiggle the wires under the seat it will turn off but comes back on again eventually. Happens from the time the car is started. Recurring problem for probably 10 years. Been waiting for a fix/recall.
Toyota has an on-going issue with airbag/SRS wiring harnesses that fail. When the wiring harness fails it disables the entire SRS system. The occupant is then at risk in a collision. This condition initiated on its own and is not the result of a collision. The local Toyota dealer relayed that it is a common occurrence and would cost over $2000 dollars to repair. It shows up on the obdii diagnostic as a right-side airbag squib. This code is as follows; B0106 code open in P squib circuit.
The airbags warning light intermittently turns on and flashes. You notice it seconds after the car is started. If I wiggle the wires under the passenger seat, it sometimes goes away. Then it shows up again...and again.
The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Sienna. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was illuminated for approximately three months. The vehicle was taken to East coast Toyota (181 broad street, carlstadt, NJ 07072) where it was diagnosed that the driver side air bag was faulty and needed replacement. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 202,000.
Air bag fault lights for years. Dealer has fixed this a number of times pointing to bad plug connectors. Have replaced airbags over the years with same problem. Informs me that it needs new air bags as the plugs are part of the air bag. Very expensive! have learned to jiggle yellow air bag connectors under seat to resolve problem. Dealer indicated they adjusted pin connectors in the past? ridiculous as the problem is obviously in the connector and why should I have to pay for a complete air bag. Spent enough money on this persistent problem over the years. Please see Toyota tsb -1062-10 which acknowledges this long time defect.
System is presenting airbag warning codes B0111 & B0116. These codes mean that we have to spend $3000-4000 to replace the airbags and wiring harnesses for the driver and passenger sides. This is completely out if the blue because a warning light came on. The vehicle is otherwise in great shape and has never been in an accident.
The airbag light is flashing at random interval both stationary or in motion. Unplugging and plugging the connectors many times can sometimes solve the problem for a few days or weeks. The airbag lamp would come back. It's very unsafe for driving with whole family in the car. Need a recall. This has happened for years since I owned the car 6 years ago.
To National Highway Traffic Safety Administration representatives, this E-mail is sent regarding my alert to the danger and safety concerns to citizens regarding the used car sales at Honda of fort myers, Florida. Due to a "2006 Toyota Sienna" in fort myers, Florida, that was sold as in very good to excellent mechanical condition and free of defects. It is been recently discovered that a major front end accident occurred on 11/16/206 in Florida. The impact severity caused functionality concerns and defects to the airbags, airbag sensor, and seat belts which were never repaired properly from this accident and left damaged and defective. Sadly, the carfax history had only begun reporting this data on 10/31/2011. The owners or used car dealership neglected to disclose this facts and other severe defects, recalls, and damages that occurred to the engine. The internal damages and safety features were discovered through legitimate diagnostic by Toyota. Please help me to recover and obtain the police report or record held by law enforcement regarding the major accident incident on this vehicle that occurred on November 16, 2006, in Florida. This vehicle may have been a salvage /re-titled but never appropriately and properly repaired for citizens use on the roads and highways. Carfax has provided no response to my E-mail to me but carfax began reporting this information on October 31, 2011. In addition, the VIN # has appeared in reports as an xle or as a limited model design which implies deception, used car dealership fraud, or misuse of the VIN # regarding doing the necessary, required, and correct repairs to make the vehicle safe to drive and perform safety recalls notices via certified mail sent on this vehicle to the owner or used car dealership at Honda of fort myers. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.
Airbag warning indicator is always on. Apparently the connector beneath the driver seat is faulty somehow. Airbag will not deploy in case of an impact.
