seat belt jams

Passenger front seatbelt will not retract. Not usable and our driver side selt belt failed 3x earlier this month. Something is wrong with sealbelts in this Sienna to fail so frequently. We are driving cross country and removed other captains chairs. We are now forced to travel 1,800 miles with a non - working seatbelt in the front seat. Our family owns 6+ Toyota models: Tundra (2), Camry, Prius (2), MR2, Celica and a Corolla and none have safety belts that fail. Only this Sienna with now two failed seatbelts. Driver and front passenger belts fold under and will not retract. Even with pliers I can not unfold or smooth out the belt.

seat belt jams

Seat belt will not retract. Had repaired once before at cost of $95 and it failed again next day. Had to replace entire driverside seat belt assembly. Unable to drive with any working seatbelt until fixed. Seat belt folds under itself and won't retract. We have a Tundra and Prius for 6+ yrs and never have had a seatbelt issue. Only with our Sienna Minivan. I would never buy a Sienna again. Part is not in stock and called 5 dealerships in cities with over a million people. Disappointed I had to wait days for part and repaired a second time. Avoid Siennas and disappointed Toyota would not issue a recall. Major safety issue.

Big time safety issue. Driver seat belt won't retract. Brought to dealer once, but fix only last a day or so. Seat belt is loose and floppy and provides no safety protection.

The front passenger side seat belt pretty much jams almost every time it is used. The belt partially folds under itself and wedges in the carrier that is mounted to the pillar. Almost every passenger who uses it experiences a problem with it, and its a pain to unjam it.
