At speed of 50 mile/hr, a normal drive at freeway turning around a curve, the air bag on the stealing wheel blew up suddenly and hurt my hands badly and covered my eyes. I could not see anything unit the car hit the side safety rail about 120 feet ahead on the left. Then it was as if the curtain falls down from my eyes - then I can see the bright sky suddenly.
The police checked the road and found nothing that I could hit and there was no oil or sand on the road surface and there was no flat tires on my car. The car was badly damaged in the front and it is not worth to repair it. I sent it to the junk yard. The car was old but was well maintenanced. I did not expect to see the air bag explode this way. It almost killed me. If not for the safety rails, I would have jumped into the wash down there.
There was no place to report what was happened. Toyota dealership said they don't know who to report this safety issue and do not know if they can do anything even they take the report.
