In the third year of owning a new Toyota Sienna 2004 model, the lock and unlock button next to driver seat (on the driver-side door) stopped working. It is not related to battery, as battery was checked by technicians and found to be good. Now I have to lock or unlock with the key-less remote always. That is annoying, as I have take out the key out of ignition to do that (even when I am parked or stopped).
Toyota dealer ship said, it will cost several hundreds just to diagnose the problem, as the door panel needs to be opened up and additional cost to actually repair it. I didn't want to spend a grand to fix this problem.
Has anyone else noticed similar issue and if so how did you fix it?
