Steering fluid leaking out just back of the left front wheel is a sure sign that either you have a leaking or damaged line leading to the steering gear box or the seals in the gear box have gone. In my case the seals were gone and I have been told that almost no one overhauls them because they tend to just fail again. So the option is to buy a used one and hope it doesn't leak or buy a new/factory rebuild one for $1000. I just drove mine until it seized and called the junk yard.
